Personal health tracking
How to review a personal symptom or habit log
Review a log at a regular interval and look for context: sleep, activity, food, stress, environment, and timing.
A clear sequence
- Pick a review window long enough to show more than one day.
- Look for repeated contexts rather than one-off events.
- Mark missing entries so they are not mistaken for improvement.
- Write one question to investigate next.
- Change the tracking routine only when you know why.
The point of a review is a better question, not a self-made medical conclusion.
